 Why Join AmeriCorps?

“My students are quick to say ‘It’s hard’, or ‘I can’t pass my spelling test, so how can I pass the WASL?"

Somewhere in that group of anxious nine year olds, you’ll find me listening and loving what I do: helping kids.”

“Helping isn’t work for me.”  AmeriCorps team members put in sod at a Habitat for Humanity project

“At the Free Clinic, I’ve made a difference in people’s lives just by interpreting for them, and realize my role as an interpreter is just as important as that of a doctor or nurse.”

“Each person has knowledge that is vast and special. The more people I encounter, the more my mind is opened.”
